What is truly awe inspiring and well worth a visit?
The above question can be answered in a myriad of ways, but in this case the answer is the Diego Rivera Murals at the Detroit Institute of Art. Diego Rivera painted the murals in the early 1930's and they are just as astounding to look at today. They capture the essence of manufacturing practices of the time as well as the culture of the day.
Diego Rivera Jigsaw Puzzle
Pomegranate has released this version of a portion of the Diego Rivera Murals at the DIA. It is of the north wall of the mural. The puzzle shows men working on fthe line to build a 1932 v8 engine at the Ford Rouge Factory. It contains 1,000 pieces and measures 29" x 20" when finished. Made in China.
Interesting Fact: The Ford Rouge Factory is still an active Ford factory and there is a tour which the public can take to see cars in production.
