Rio Grande Railroad
The Rio Grande is short for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, a defunct railroad which ran between Denver and Salt Lake City. The railroad was folded into the Union Pacific Railroad. The Rio Grande Railroad operated both commercial hauling trains as well as a passenger train.
Rio Grande Puzzle
John Winfield, a well known train artist, has rendered this wonderful Rio Grande puzzle in honor of the Rio Grande Railroad. It depicts two trains, one of which is an eastbound train, the other a westbound train (eastbound trains have even numbers, westbound have odd numbers) in the foreground with a city and another train off in the distance. The name Rio Grande is featured in the the sky as well as some older engines. The 1,000 piece puzzle is done largely in shages of yellows and lbues and will measure 20" x 27" when completed. Made in the USA by SunsOut.
